Music lovers, this is the event you’ve been waiting for!
The Tampa Bay Blues Festival, winner of the International Blues Foundation’s Keeping The Blues Alive Award, is doing what they have been doing best for three decades again in 2026, featuring a massive line-up of the best in blues and roots - Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Taj Mahal and The Phantom Blues Band, Jimmie Vaughan, Tab Benoit, Los Lobos, Samantha Fish, Charlie Musselwhite with GA-20, Nikki Hill, Vanessa Collier, Toronzo Cannon, Darrell Nulisch, Jontavious Willis, and Yates MacKendree among others. The festival, spanning three packed days, not only boasts the best of blues, but also great food vendors, fully stacked liquor bars, and loads of craft beer and wines to quench that bluesy-thirst.
If you had to choose between the three days, let 10 April 2026 be it. The line-up is jam-packed with the best of the best - Taj Mahal, Los Lobos, Tommy Castro, Jacky Venson, and Yates McKendree.
Let’s be frank - Taj Mahal and his Phantom Blues Band are towering figures when it comes to blues. Well into his 80s, Taj Mahal’s incredible unique talent is still in top form. He still sets the strings on fire, still belts with a strong voice, and still pushes the boundaries with his terrific music. You can look forward to all the fan favorites - from Corinna and Fishin’ Blues to Queen Bee and Lovin’ In My Baby’s Eyes, alongside some rarely performed gems - and rest assured, Taj Mahal brings down the house unlike any other.
Los Lobos is an institution in rock and blues music. To answer his 1984 question - the wolf didn’t only survive - it thrived. From the boozy grooves of I Got Loaded to the smash-hit La Bamba, Los Lobos celebrates the glory of live music - explosively, expertly, and unparalleled.
The other headliners for the day include Tommy Castro with his serious vocal and guitar chops; the naturally talented scat-singer Jackie Venson with her expressive fretwork, dynamic stage presence, and raw energy; and blues torchbearer and multi-instrumentalist Yates McKendree, who knows his way around the fretboard like few.
